Updating Protection Server K2BTools Licences to K2BTools 16

To perform any operation on the Protection Server regarding K2BTools licenses, you must first complete the Protection Server K2BTools setup steps

Step 1: Uninstall K2BTools previous license

  1. Open the Protection Server License Manager. The default location is C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Artech\GXprot1\GXLMgr.exe
  2. Select the previously authorized license (e.g., K2BTools 15) and press Uninstall.

  3. The License Manager will create a file in a directory specified in a message. Navigate to this file location A webpage will open; you can ignore this and close the opened webpage.

    Select to uninstall all copies

  4. Send the .gxa file to claves@k2b.com

Troubleshouting::If you cannot find the uninstall file, please send the gxprot.log file located in the Windows directory to support@k2btools.com

Step 2: Request new licenses

  1. Open the Protection Server License Manager. The default location is C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Artech\GXprot1\GXLMgr.exe
  2. Request the K2BTools 16 licenses as usual. For more information refer to Requesting K2BTools licenses
