Requesting Service Builder Licenses

Service Builder provides two licensing options:

  • A trial version, allowing developers to generate one Service Definition object. This can be accomplished by using the K2BTools Free Edition license. To do this follow Requesting Service Builder Licenses
  • A full version, enabling developers to generate as many Service Definition objects as needed.

Steps to Request a Service Builder Full License

  1. Open LIcense Manager
    1. In GeneXus IDE go to: Tools => Service Builder => Authorize Service Builder
    2. This will open the Genexus License Manager

  2. Authorize Service Builder
    1. In the GeneXus License Manager select the product Service Builder By K2BTools

    2. Press the Authorize button.
  3. Request Licenses
    1. Select the request licenses option

    2. Choose the Authorize Online option

    3. Verify that Service Builder By K2BTools is selected and press Finish

  4. Submit site code
    1. A web page will open with a Site Code.

    2. Press the Copy button and send the site code to: claves@k2b.com
  5. Complete the process
    1. Once the process is complete, you will receive a Site Key.

Steps to Request a Service Builder Trial License

  1. Open LIcense Manager
    1. In GeneXus IDE go to: Tools => Service Builder => Authorize Service Builder
    2. This will open the Genexus License Manager

  2. Authorize K2BTools Free Edition
    1. In the GeneXus License Manager select the product K2BTools Free Edition

    2. Press the Authorize button.
  3. Request Licenses
    1. Select the request licenses option

    2. Choose the Authorize Online option

    3. Verify that K2BTools Free Edition is selected and press Finish

  4. Obtain Site Key
    1. A web page will open. Log in with your GXTechnical User credentials (*).

    2. Press the confirm button to continue
    3. Download the Site Key

  5. Install K2BTools Free Edition Site Key
    1. After downloading the Site Key file, simply double-click it.
    2. The license will be automatically authorized.

(*)Note:If the GXTechnical login fails, repeat the procedure as follows:

  1. In Step 3.2, instead of selecting Authorize Online, choose Generate Authorization File.
  2. Send the generated .gxa file to claves@k2b.com.
