When a new major version of K2BTools is released, licenses must be updated to gain access to the newer version. This document presents a procedure that can be used to perform this update in a safe manner. The procedure differs depending on where the licenses are stored (either in each developer's local computer or on a Protection Server).
Notes:
- K2BTools licenses for certain major version grant access to all prior versions. For example, if a K2BTools 12 license is installed, access is granted to all versions prior to that one (11.0, 10.1, 8.0, etc) and all updates of this version (eg 12.1, 12.2, 12.3)
- K2BTools free edition licenses do not change when upgrading a K2BTools version (Ex: 12.1, 12.2, 12.3, 12.4)
